This song from 1935 was one of the first dealing with the famous "tekedes", where manges and rembetes used to hide to smoke cannabis, listen to music and dance.

Giorgos Katsaros (1888 - 1997!!) plays a very unique style of "Guitar Rembetiko". He is one of the main figures of the Greek Music Scene in the US in the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

Please do not mistake him for Giorgos Katsaros (born 1934), the saxophone player and member of the right wing party in greece, who also composed the anthem of junta.
